This beautiful BIOCLIMATIC HOUSE floats among the dense jungle of Puerto Morelos conceived as a single linear element. Its precise location within the land takes advantage of the prevailing winds and sunlight resulting in its bioclimatic functioning.

This house is elevated from the ground level so that the earth can breathe and the flora and fauna can continue their natural course; wind tunnels are also generated that are used to cool the house and prevent flooding. It features double roofs creating a chimney effect to avoid the use of air conditioning. The ECO-COOLER system, a cold air system without electricity located in strategic places within the house, has been incorporated.

The walls that govern this house are made of compacted earth, providing extra thermal comfort to all its rooms.

The shape is simple, linear, and unpretentious; the palette of materials is natural: stone base, compacted earth walls, polished concrete floors, galvanized sheet, steel beams, granite slabs, and the exterior walls were covered with burnt wood, achieving a non-competitive stance with the dense jungle that surrounds it.

Casa habitación situada en Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, México.

Esta bella CASA BIOCLIMÁTICA flota entre la densa selva de Puerto Morelos concebida como un solo elemento lineal. Su ubicación precisa dentro del terreno aprovechan los vientos dominantes y la luz solar dando como resultado su funcionamiento bioclimático.

Está casa se mantiene elevada del nivel del suelo para que la tierra respire y la flora y fauna sigan su transcurso natural; se generan también túneles de viento que son aprovechados para refrescar la casa y evitar inundaciones. Cuenta con cubiertas dobles originando el efecto chimenea para evitar el uso de aire acondicionado. Se incorporó el sistema ECO–COOLER, sistema de aire frío sin electricidad ubicado en lugares estratégicos dentro de la casa.

Los muros que rigen está casa son de tierra compactada, aportan confort térmico extra a todas sus habitaciones.

Las forma es simple, lineal y sin pretensiones ; la paleta de materiales es natural : basamentos en piedra braza , muros de tierra compactada , pisos en cemento pulido, lámina galvanizada, vigas de acero, placas de granito y las paredes exteriores fueron recubiertas con madera quemada , logrando no competir con la densa selva que la envuelve.
