Chicxulub Puerto is a locality in the state of Yucatán, on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, a commission of the municipality of Progreso. Inhabitants (as of now) have fishing, commerce, and tourism as their main activities. It is located 8 km east of the port of Progreso, 40 km north-northeast of the city of Mérida, Yucatán, and 20 km north of another homonymous locality, the head of the municipality called Chicxulub Pueblo.
